Agents of Change Digital Marketing Conference – Quick Takeaways

September 20, 2017

I virtually attended the Agents of Change Digital Conference this year and it was amazing. There were so many leaders in the field that presented on everything from Facebook Ads, Content Creation, Web Development, Twitter Chats & Social Media Strategies and more all sprinkled with inspiring Life Hacks and personal stories.

Two things that made this conference stand out:

  1. agents-of-change The AOC Community is full of industry leaders that are open and welcoming. This conference is a great source for anyone interested in digital marketing and developing strategies. The conference provides you direct access to the best of the best. In addition, AOC offers weekly podcasts found at their website and they conduct weekly Twitter Chats found at @AgentsofChange under hashtag #AgentsofChange. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
  2. The presenters at this conference were Authentic. So not only are you getting the best of our industry; you were also listening to real folks who are passionate about digital marketing and that have found their niche and want to share their knowledge. They broke down the content that was relatable and used true to market examples.

The entire conference line up can be found here along with the speakers that were on the panel. https://www.theagentsofchange.com/speakers-agenda/

Some Quick takeaways straight from my Twitter Account @mz_rocko

Andy Crestodina – Advanced Content Marketing and SEO

“Great take on testimonial page from @crestodina. Don’t do it. Sprinkle your testimonials throughout your site to support services” #AgentsofChange
“Don’t half-ass two things. Whole-ass one thing.” @crestodina #AgentsofChange
“Don’t hoard internal info. Someone is going to publish it anyway. Make it valuable content” #SharetheKnowledge #AgentsofChange @crestodina

Amanda O’Brien – Creating Facebook Advertising Strategy & Measuring Your Success

“Create landing pages 4 Facebook Ads. This deters your audience from getting distracted w/ other elements/content” #agentsofchange @amanda_pants

Matthew Montoya– Email Marketing is Not the Message (It’s an Ad for the Message)

“Use up & coming Influencers. This is the sweet spot to ensure they have time to dedicate to your brand & have enough impact potential” #agentsofchange

I failed to mention that I won the Virtual Pass from AOC by participating on their Twitter Chat. With my virtual pass or as a conference attendee several of the presentations will be available online. I will be back with more takeaways from some of the other presenters.
Highly recommend following AOC on Twitter or subscribing to their newsletter or tuning into their podcasts. They are a great community of knowledge. Check them out: www.theagentsofchange.com
